Egg Hunt

Do to the weather this weekend we ended up doing our Easter Egg Hunt inside. I don't think the kids cared either way they were getting eggs filled with goodies. We had lots of cousins over and lots of eggs to find. With all these kids I only found 2 eggs still in their hiding places the next day while cleaning up. They did a pretty good job of finding them. We did it on all levels so it split them up and everyone got their fair share of eggs.

Easter Basket Hunt

Here are some pictures of the kids hunting for their easter baskets. Brad hid them well, because they sure took awhile to find them. The kids helped the baby finds his, they even showed it to him. (like he cared), it was fun and cute to see them taking care of him.

Colston at 1 week

Proud Siblings and pets

Welcome Baby Colston

I had the baby April 6th at 1:20pm. Labor and Delivery went well and we are recovering nicely. He is such a joy to have in our home. A long time waiting by the whole family. The kids are always asking to hold him and love him. I always want to hold him so we have to be good sharers around here. Colston Bauer is his full name and he is such a good baby. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and now after one week he weighs 8lbs 2oz.

In Search of the Pot of Gold

Every year the Leprachauns leave a pot of gold in our house for the kids to find following four leaf clover clues. Up and down and all around the kids finally found the pot of gold in the car seat!

Girls Night Out

Last week we had a "Girls Night". Alyssa came to me at the start of the week and asked if we could go out just the girls. She said we can go to the mall and eat dinner and Dad can watch the kids. Well with this plan already in "go" mode I couldn't say no. I mean she already arranged someone to watch the kids. We called up her BFF Addison and Aunt to join us and we lowered the age limit so Miss Ava could go with us. Alyssa had a great time spending her "own" money which I liked that too and got some cute flip flops. Last shop was Claires and if you could have seen Ava's eyes when she went into the store it was a priceless moment for this true girlie girl. Her mind was going a million miles an hour looking and taking in everything it was funny. She got a new pair of sunglasses and clip-on earing like her sister. The hats were on sale for $2 so we had to get them one to glam them up more. It was 8:00 and we were exhausted (well Ava and myself). I finally made a memory at the mall with my girls. =)

Sledding

We took the kids sledding this past weekend. It was a lot of fun....mostly for those who could go sledding =( (yes that was a poor me moment) The hill was a good size and the kids really got into it. Really that last couple seasons they only remember the little hills I make for them in the yard or the big snow mountain left at the end of the street by the snow plow. So they really enjoyed "real" sledding for once. It was raining in our neighborhood, but by the time we made it up in the canyon the rain turned to snow and was so much fun. Because my pregnant fried brain I didn't notice my camara was on the wrong setting the whole time so these are the pictures we have to live with.

Valentines Day

Because Brad and I went out to dinner for Valentines Day I made a nice dinner for the kids at home. They loved the fancy settings (well fancy to them) and I served them as their waitress as if they were at a fancy restaurant. It was fun to make their dinner a big deal for them. They love the "special" occasions just as much as we do. Happy Love Day to all of you out there.

Alyssa's Baptism

Well this is it. Our little girl made the decision to get baptized. It was a beautiful day seeing her smiling at everything coming her way and dressed in white. She was very excited the whole week prior to her special day and couldn't wait. We had lots of family and friends there at her baptism supporting her on her day. Thanks for coming everyone. Grandma Marshall made her baptism dress from my wedding dress and she looked gorgeous. My mom has amazing talent and we all loved the dress that fit her perfectly. Its nice to put 1 baptism under our belt to know what to expect and how things go. Brad did a great job and made sure she was dunked all the way the first time.

Alyssa turns 8

Alyssa's Birthday turned out great this year. She loved her presents (especially her new webkinz), a wii singing game and a beautiful cake made by our neighbor as a surprise. I lucked out that she never asked me about her cake before her party so I didn't have to lie where it was coming from. She was a very happy girl by the end of the day. I can't believe she is the big "8" already!! Time flies by people.
