Snow!!!

The Snow came to our house last night (as the kids put it). It has been snowing on the mountains a few times already, but only half way down the mountain. We woke up to a yard full of snow, We were so excited (we as in me and the kids since we haven't seen snow if forever!) Alyssa and Corbin stayed outside for a long time moving the snow in different places and making a castle. Ava didn't want to touch it. I had to take a picture of our pumpkins with snow on them. never seen that before. Let me tell you I am having a lot of first here in Utah. Oh and because the houses were covered with snow and the yards, the kids called it a christmas town and they really thought it was christmas today becuase of the snow. It was a fun filled day today with snow ball fights and snow castles and yes eating the snow too.

Happy Halloween

I am glad everyone had an enjoyable Halloween. This past week the kids have played with the costumes over and over deciding what they were going to be. Luckily Susan had a youth activity at the house for Halloween so the kids got to dress up for that and then they got to be something different for school and then, yes it keeps coming they picked something different for trick or treating. So Addison and Alyssa were Fairies (we had such perfect weather their costumes worked out) Tanner was Spider Man, Corbin was a Train Conductor, andAva was a purple pegasus (horse with wings). They ran from house to house showing us what they got each time.

Carving Pumpkins

Alyssa got a coupon at school for a FREE pumpkin at the local grocery store. So we go and ask the cashier if there is any rules or regulations on the size of pumpkin we can pick. She says no, so of course my daughter goes out to the patch of pumpkins and picks out the biggest one. I could barely lift it into the cart! We carved it that night and had a lot of fun. I love carving pumpkins.

My mom came up for a visit for a few days and for family night we made Caramel Apples. I haven't had one in a very long time, We each got one and it was so good. I added peanuts to mine (yes I had to be different). The kids loved the idea that they got their very own too.

Trampoline owee

Corbin lost his balance and fell and hit his head on the metal bar of the trampoline edge. It made a deep cut above his eye. It was bleeding down his face, but the first thing he wanted to do was to look at it in the mirror before I could clean it up. what a boy!! He took the clean up like a champ and got a fly bandaid on it to help close it up and got an ice cream for being a trooper.

So our internet has not been working properly the last week or so, this is the meaning of no updates. Sorry!!! I have posted some things we have been up to so enjoy the pics.

Ava Moments

She loves playing Peek-a-boo and hide-n-seek

This is Ava leading the music during conference

Yes, that is hair you see on her head!! finally right.

She picks out this tutu everytime the kids play dress up. She loves to try things on and be just like the big kids when they play anything. The older kids aren't too pleased with it though.

Pads anyone?

Ok, so all you moms and ladies out there can appreciate these pictures. It only takes time, but your children will find your "stash" of girlie products and think they are just so much fun to play with. Well this is what Ava found one day in the bathroom, I had to take a picture. She thought she was so pretty, she acted like it was a princess crown and strutted her stuff.

Uncle Shawn was making Corbin laugh so hard I had to take a picture.
The kids and I stopped at the St. George Temple after the evening events before we went back to the hotel. We could't resist its beauty at night when it is all lit up.

Fall Pictures

Well Fall is here and it is so much fun to actually see trees turning colors!! The kids are actually seeing and feeling the difference between seasons. Before they had to "imagine" what real fall leaves were and soon snow!! We went for a drive up the canyon and ended up getting out and hiking in the trees for a bit and taking some fun pictures.

We saw some deer on our drive up the canyon.

We had to stop for a minute to let the cows get out of the way on the road. The kids loved that one.

The boys: Tanner, Spencer, Ethan and Corbin

You can't resist throwing a bunch of leaves in the air when you are surrounded by so many of them on the ground.
